Bruce Steivel's Coppélia, Coppelia
Swanhilda and Dr. Coppelius, the Dollmaker

Sparkling with wit and charm, this tale of mistaken identity is classical ballet's greatest comedy.

Based on a story by E.T.A. Hoffmann, this amusing tale presents a romance between two villagers, Franz and Swanilda, alongside the curious workings of Dr. Coppelius, an eccentric inventor of life-like dolls. Infatuated at the sight of the inventor's new doll, Franz sneaks into Dr. Coppelius' workshop and mayhem ensues.

Perfect for all ages, Coppelia includes exuberant folk dances, waltzes, virtuoso solos, and music by French composer Leo Delibes. Mark your calendars and plan to bring the entire family as we take you into a mysterious toy shop where the toys come to life!

Sunday, February 12 @ 7PM | Bob Hope Theatre, Stockton
Friday, February 17 @ 7PM | Cedar City, UT

Bruce Steivel's Coppelia was nominated to receive an Izzy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Restaging, Revival and Reconstruction.
