Bay Pointe Ballet School was founded in 2013 by internationally renowned master teacher and choreographer, Bruce Steivel. The School's mission is to provide high caliber classical ballet training that prepares students to reach their maximum potential and instill a love for the performing arts. The School offers programs year-round, and selects students by audition annually to train during the summers with master teachers. The School's curriculum and training style are based on the Vaganova (Russian) training method; a time tested technique devised by the Russian dancer and pedagogue Agrippina Vaganova (1879–1951). The Vaganova training method develops strong and expressive dancers, often standing out for their épaulement, the harmonious shapes attained by the torso, arms, head and even direction of the eyes.
