Summer Fundraising Event to Feature Principal Guest Artists

On Sunday, August 25th, 2013, Bay Pointe Ballet will hold its 2013 Summer Kick-off Fundraising Campaign Final Event at 3 pm - 5:30 pm, at the LINES Dance Center in San Francisco, CA.

Guest artists Maykel Solas, a principal dancer with Ballet San Jose, as well as Miko Fogarty, World Ballet Competition Gold Medalist featured in the documentary "First Position", will perform. The event will also showcase Bay Pointe Ballet youth and adult students, and company dancers.

Admission to the event is $10 (standing room) or $20 (seating), including pre- and post- receptions. We also invite you to donate to our campaign to help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal.

Bay Pointe Ballet, established April 2013 in the Bay Area and led by Artistic Director Bruce Steivel, offers students and professionals the highest quality dance training. Bay Pointe Ballet is a non-profit organization* with a mission to provide entertainment to the wider community through dance performances, and an ongoing program of outreach and education, with an emphasis on nuturing and fostering creative and artistic expression among children and professionals alike.

Children's Auditions for Bruce Steivel's 'Nutcracker'

Auditions for Children's roles for Bruce Steivel's 'Nutcracker' will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 425 Harbor Blvd #3 in Belmont, CA.

Audition Schedule:

Sunday, September 15, 2013
1:30 pm - 2 pm Registration
2 pm - 3 pm Mandatory Parent Meeting
2 pm - 4 pm Auditions
Details:
All parents or guardians must be present at the Parents Meetings. Children will not be considered for roles until parent or guardian and the student have signed the rehearsal and performance agreement.

Students 6 years and older, with at least one year of ballet study, are welcome to audition.
Please arrive promptly for registration; latecomers will not be admitted.
Each student must bring a 1-1/12" x 2" photo. School photo is okay.
Dress code:
Girls: Leotard, socks/tights, ballet slippers, hair in bun

Boys: Shorts or pants that are easy to move in, T-shirt, ballet/jazz shoes or socks
Participation fee:
$200 per student due at registration

Financial aid is available. Applications will be available at registration.
Refunds:
Full refund if student is not cast.

Full refund, less $25, for cancellations received in writing prior to first rehearsal.

No refund for cancellation received after first rehearsal.
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will take place between 1 and 6 pm each weekend from Sunday, September 22 through December 1. Rehearsal duration depends on role(s) and progress. Additional, mandatory rehearsals may be scheduled during the week as needed. Rehearsals will be held at 425 Harbor Blvd #3 Belmont, but may move to our permanent facility after renovations are complete.

Adult Ballet Classes with Bruce Steivel

Bay Pointe Ballet School now offers advanced/intermediate ballet classes for adults on Sundays at 1463 Beach Park Boulevard in Foster City. No pre-registration is required. Classes are ongoing.

Adult Intermediate/Advanced Ballet
Sundays 11:30 am - 1 pm
Drop in rate: $15 (Class cards are also available)

Beginning August 12, 2013, Bruce Steivel will also hold intermediate/advanced adult classes Monday through Friday, 10 - 11:30 am.
